Update on Challenge Season Round 3 and More.

To kick off the season there has been a lot going on. We have been enjoying Pizza Mania's yummy pizzas and Cue Sport Thailand feedback is they are selling Rhino X like hotcakes. As our outside sponsors.they have given us a big thumbs up for supporting them.

Having them and others on board is clearly making a big difference to them and our respective ambitions

iFree Group who made the Bangkok Heat team communication so easy and Bangkok Life Partners are also now front and centre supporting us.

Check out IFreeGroup.com. Using iFree as a team we had a great new way to stay connected to the world of travel and mobile communications in Jakarta.

Please also make welcome any Bangkok Life Partners clients visiting from other countries to explore new partner introductions.

In fact, for all of our new and longtime stalwarts who support us, we are proud to have their logo's on our new banner.

That includes Fair Play Apparel, Riverfall Wines, Taom Cue Chalk Thailand Pool Tables & Shernox some of who are also benefactors for Bangkok Heat. All the rest on the banner you know and support as family, our venue sponsors.

Yes, our web site name, our logo, our banners and our domain name, are all now changed to reflect our new identity as Bangkok Pool Community.

The coming of age decision by the committee and captains who attended a special committee meeting agreed that our mission is much more than just being social. Now also highly community-oriented, we all know that will always be work in progress.

On the international scene, Bangkok success in Jakarta at the Asia Pool Challenge was the injection we needed to bring the pool capital of Asia, home to Bangkok.

Coming in equal second by just 1 game told us all the countries have great teams and like us want to participate to enjoy playing. We also know we got much more out of it by including our whole community and recognising all the contributions at all levels.

For those who missed it, you can watch the Jakarta APC event on the APC site. we have also assembled the videos on our new streaming site library http://www.cuesportslive.asia/

That boosted to general enthusiasm also gives us the confidence to host 2 major events in Bangkok next year.

The first in April is a two-tier Sponsored International 10 Ball and 8 Ball series with up to 10 countries being invited to participate in. More on that soon

The 2nd is the 10th Anniversary of the Asia Pool Challenge in September,

The APC, as we refer to it, was co-founded by Bangkok and Jakarta by Mark Dulgov and Brian Piggot. Albeit they are icons they are regular guys who many of us regard as long-time friends.

Brian leads and is very active as the overall APC organiser. He is based in Jakarta and vital to the international level. Mark retired from the APC committee last year.

As the founder of the Bangkok Pool League, which was 2nd in size to New York as the largest in the world, the experience from Mark that we have drawn on has been immeasurable, as has his ongoing support that has made our transitioning Bangkok Pool Community possible.

This week our Challenge season teams saw Round 3 matches completed. That involved 38 teams competing in 4 separate round-robin competitions where collectively they have played 1191 games.

The Premier League with 6 top tier teams, this season so far have played 600 games.

For the extended International level now in the works, Bangkok Heat Qualifying series will start around February and will also be expanded to allow more players to qualify for the international events. The BHQ committee will decide that.

The organising committees of each are represented by common members for all levels so synergies are coordinated and common ambitions naturally addressed in scale and balance with BPC overarching peak perspectives.

Here is the update on the ladder to round 3 community and premier league competitions.
